Start to Outdoor Season
May 29, 2005
Yesterday in Etobicoke Ont. I started out my outdoor track season. It was just a regional meet to make standards to be selected to compete at the Ontario Championships.
It was a busy day as I competed in the 400,800,1500 & 5000m events. All and all it was a solid day, no amazing times but I did what I had to do, which was to qualify for the Provincial Championships.
Unfortunatly there was an incident in the 5000m as with 2 laps left I was bumped into and forced off the track into the infield for a short time. I was able to get back on the track and finish the race. The person who caused the crash was later DQ'ed but it still sucked because I was in a really good rythmn and on pace for a personal best.
